Mark Brookes

Playwright

Written Work

Mark has several full length plays to his credit. Most notably POETS Day, which was performed in London, with all net profit donated to the children's charity, Barnardos.

He has recently penned, Craic of Dawn and Pied de Grue; two stand-alone plays which accompany the revised POETS Day to form the, Crane Trilogy. The thought provoking saga of a disfunctional and criminally flawed family.

His short stories, monologues and poetry are eclectic, however always retain Mark's dark humour, vulnerability, and untethered passion.

Love, Monty

Refering to his latest piece, Love, Monty. in a radio interview he expressed how much fun it was to write a lighthearted, period monologue compared to his trademark kitchen-sink dramas.

Please note:

Love, Monty. is being performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2023

Opens with a limited-seat Preview on Fri 4th August, and is performed every night through to our final show on Saturday 12th August. For early tickets please click here   http://edfringe.com
